Yesterday we had a day off. It feels like weeks we have been here already. But its only one week. So half time now.
The city bazar reminds me on Jerusalem… the whole city actually… it is very interesting how different cultures live next to each other here… katholics, orthodox, moslems. I read somewhere that for Jews Bosnia is the second safe space in the world after Israel.

Was ist gut, was ist schlecht in dieser Welt? Ist es gut Geld zu verdienen? Ist es schlecht das nicht zu tun? Wie wird man arm und warum werden die reichen immer reicher? Muss ich mitmachen, um nicht unter zu gehen? Welche Strukturen sind es, die uns zwingen so zu sein, wie wir sind? 
Ich glaube ja nicht daran, dass der Mensch dem Menschen ein Wolf ist. Viele, die „böse“ handeln, können in meinen Augen oft nicht anders. Und doch glaube ich an den freien Willen, dh jeder könnte anders handeln. Doch das erfordert Mut und viel Kraft. Das kann ich nicht von allen zu jederzeit erwarten. Die Menschen wurden über Jahrtausdende zu handzahmen, dummen Schafen erzogen. Das will natürlich der einzelne erstmal nicht wissen oder wahrhaben, denn gefühlt, sind wir ja alle frei. Wir haben die freie Wahl, welches Essen uns vergiftet, welche von Kinderarbeit hergestellte Kleidung wir kaufen, mit welchem Auto wir die Umwelt verpesten. Wir haben die freie Wahl, wie wir uns am Wochenende zerstören. Disco, Kino oder doch lieber Krossfitstudio?

Was gibt’s zu sagen über Malta? Sehr touristisch, ein wenig teuer, da wo wir waren. Sliema, Valetta. Erinnerte mich sehr an Spanien oder Israel. Mediterran eben. 
Die Kreuzritter haben die Insel bewohnbar gemacht. Das Malteser Kreuz steht symbolisch für alle Nationen, des christlichen Glaubens, die dabei waren. Im Prinzip halb Europa. Krieg und Terror. Auch hier die menschliche Geschichte. Inquisition. Französische Revolution. Und dazwischen Krieg mit der Türkei, dem osmanischen Reich oder wem auch immer.
Die tollen christlichen Ritter. Die bösen anderen Heiden. So wird es einem erzählt. Ich höre bei sowas nie so richtig hin und mir ist es auch egal, wer wie angefangen hat. After Sabbath, we chilled in Sacher Park for a while.
Found a half bottle of wine, smoked and listened to PUNK rock.
Felt like 16. The weather was great.
Later we met the others by accident. They just told us a few minutes ago that they would arrive and stay in the same Hostel then Phillip and me. I was so happy.

… don’t talk about politics… don’t scream: free gaza… some people told me, better not to do these and that… and I really was afraid to hurt somebody or land in jail… lots of people get tears in their eyes or just freak out… but in fact, i am always sensitive and immediately stop, when I recognise that this topic causes too much pain…but I can’t help myself. I had to talk about this shit…
We had lots of good interesting conversation with Jews, German Jews, Arabic, Moslems, Non- Religious, Palestines…. I didn’t know, that there are living Palestines in Jerusalem. But in fact, they have different rights. When you cross the country you will pass Palestine regions. Borders, soldiers… You hear lots of horror-Stories from both sides. My parent’s friends invited us on Friday to celebrate the Sabbath with them. Jan collected us from Mt. Herzl – the Holocaust Memorial a bit outside from the city.
He explained us, what Sabbath means for Jews and I read some interesting stuff in a modern interpretation on the Torah (the Bible for Jews.. in Fact this Religion was the first of the monotheist ones, where people believe in ONE big creator of everything). Lots of this sounds reasonable for me. As they spoke about two souls inside a human being.
The good and the bad… the animal and the god… the fast and the slow…every human has the possibility to become great or nuts… depends on what he wants… and I read about responsibility of every human being to take care of others… we have to sacrifie before we can get something… you give. you get. you take. you are thankful.

Why? I don’t know. 
Maybe because of this Hype that’s going on in Germany right now. Lots of German travel there these days. Maybe because of the weather, maybe because it’s not the Israel Governent that’s in our news, but the Turkish.
Two years ago it was the opposite. Turkey was great but Israel was in war against Hamas again. August 2015. Nobody travelled there, except my parents, who told me how nice and peaceful everything is. Media has a fucking deep impact on everything. The reality is another one.
Da Lat… eine kleine Romanze…
Eine der besten Zeiten, die ich seit langem hatte. Zusammen mit Garret fühlte ich mich ganz und komplett. Auch wenn wir uns auf die Nerven gingen, irgendetwas war da, was uns miteinander verband.
Wir liehen uns ein Moped und erkundeten die Gegend. Da Lat wirkte um einiges europäischer als Saigon und auch das Klima glich einem kühlem Sommer in Europa. Ich fror die ganze Zeit.
