Tel Aviv, Graffiti art and other stuff

The flight was actually not long for a long distance traveler, but flying and sitting in a plane is always annoying. Anyway, after 7 hours I arrived in Tel Aviv at Ben Gurion Airport. I had to change in Istanbul, where I just caught the Transit flight in time. Pegasus is always a bit late, but they are nice and cheap.

I immediately got in touch with another German and an Israeli who showed us how we got to our hostels. I had no clue. I just trusted. And reached my hostel. Hayarkon 48. Next to the beach. The service was great, breakfast inclusive. One night costs 25 Euro. It was the first and cheapest hostel that popped up, when I booked one day before. I hate to make plans before, but i am always lucky.

Worst case scenery would be to sleep in a McDonald’s I thought myself. So this was so much better. I was happy. And finally arrive in the hostel around 01:00 in the night. I had to learn, that they don’t sell alcohol after 23:00. That was a pity.

The next morning I found out, that I shared a room with two German girls. We had a nice talk over breakfast about politics, kibbutze, Trump, traveling and looking for something, we all can’t really describe. But we can be happy, to have all these opportunities. Parents, money, time. Most people in the world don’t have anything of that. And still people in Germany are angry and sad most of the time. I dont get it.

Anyway. I left the hostel and took a green bike to see a bit of Tel Aviv.

My plan was to get to Jerusalem somehow. Meanwhile, I met the manager of a beach in Tel Aviv. They call this the drum beach as well, because there are lots of hippies and musicians and jugglers in the evenings. He gave me a VIP toilet in his office and made me some lunch. I could use his phone to book a room in a hostel in Jerusalem. A friend of my parents gave me a tip which one. I just got the last free bed.

I had a great time. Everybody smiled back, was friendly and helpful. People thought I was living there. They told me, I have a good Energy. And I really had these days. Even I wasn’t sure, if its a good idea to come here. Because actually I had other plans. and didnt want to spend money. But Life is what happens, while you are making other plans, I read somewhere or was it my grandpa who told me?? Fuck it. I love to change plans.
