Praha and Little Vietnam

We bought a ticket for metro for a whole day. The guy who selled the tickets said, when we asked, Is this for everything: Das ist für alles. I felt bad because everybody spoke more German than me czech…

That was the sentence of the day. We used it a lot. We drove through the hole city. Phillip was the leader, no actually google… Praha is full of hills. So we had to climp up and down all day.

We went to famous square where lots of skateboarders hang around, then to the John Lennon wall and in the end to an old cemetary called Vsrad. The last stop then was the old big brewery U Fleku. We spend too much money there…

In the night we visited a club called „Cross club“. The entry was free and we danced all night. We met some german from our hostel, that was a bit funny. The location looked like an old factory with a lot of steal and metal construction. It was somehow a restaurant and club in one. You could sit outside and smoke and the beer was quite cheap. The next day was more quiet. We drove to the vietnamese market, where Phillip wanted to buy some shoes. But when he found one pair and wanted to pay, they explained to him, that he could not get only one pairs. He should buy twelve. I realized that this was a kind of market for people who sell stuff. In German we say „Großmarkt“. Only dealers can buy there. But in the end I could buy some food and we had a real great traditional Pho soup. It felt a bit like Vietnam…

After the vietnam market, we where looking for Phillips shoes in a real real big shopping Mall. I usually avoid place like these. But it was too hot outside and we could park the car there. Later we decided to park our car next to the hostel and dont give a fuck about the rules. I was afraid, but Phillip convinced me. We had luck. So it was easy to get away the next morning because we had a lot of stuff to carry.

The last and final step then was Leipzig for one night. We visited some friends, drank some beer and hung out in a park. Phillip went out for an open air, but I stayed at my friends place. Good idea, because Phillip could not drive the next day. I expected it somehow and it was fine for me, because he drove all the other 3000 km. So the last few I could do as well. BERLIN!!!

Roadtrip Part 5

After visiting Krakow we drove to Wiry not far away from Wroslaw (Breslau). Phillips cousin and aunt are living there, where we stayed for two nights We had great food and a good time. Although we couldn’t understand a word his aunt was speaking, we felt really welcomed. The next and last step was Praha/ Czech Republic then. It was just a few hours away. We stayed in a hostel right in the centre next to the „Karlsbrücke“, the most famous bridge in Praha. The hostel (Chili) was very cheap but a bit strange. I wanted to make breakfast in the kitchen and therefore we should leave a deposit of 200 czech krones, around 20 Euros. For this I expected a real great kitchen but in the end it was the worst kitchen you can imagine. They dont even had one knife there and none of the pans had an handle. I was pissed but the receptionist seem not to care at all. In the end I used my own dishes and knife from the car.

One another annoying thing was the parking situation. The hostel was in the so called blue zone, that means only citizien and companies are allowed to park. The next parking house costs 20 Euro a day. So we parked Walta after disussions a bit outside the centre. For 16 Euro a day. It was not possible to pay for more than one. Anyway. The first night we walked around to look up some alternative DIY pubs Phillip found in the internet. But none of them existed anymore. That was a bit strange. So we just walked through the city and had a dinner in a real bad vietnamese restaurant. It seemed pretty fancy, because of its decoration and the high prices. But the taste was not good at all. The best thing was the cocktail we had.

We had our music box with us and sat beside the „Moldau“ River, to celebrated Phillips birthday. We met lots of strange people. One guitarplayer, who looked like the devil. He was praying to something and made strange noises. But when he just played the guitar he seemed quite normal.

Another guy came to us and start to speak about men and women and that women would be always under the men. We just stared at him and I sad he should not talk bullshit like that. I think he realized that we didn’t want to talk to him, so he left. Then some guy on drugs came, looking for some hold and somebody to speak to. It was not easy to convince him to go on, when we wanted to get home.  The nicest person was a homeless guy. He asked for a cigarette and we gave him two. He shared his wine with us and then just left. It was an interesting adventurely first night.

Polandtrip Part 3

Finally we found a really nice place at the lake Jezioro Tuchlin. This area belongs to the Masurian lake plate as we found out. I had no idea before, but they seem to be quite popular for German touritsts. It was not that cheap, I would have expected. Poland is quite touristy, but still ok. You pay prices like in Germany for beer and food.

Around 13:00 we could start cooking. Phillip improvised something with very small dishes and tishes. But it worked somehow.

The we relaxed at the lake and went for a walk later. We met some other friendly polish tourists, one of them could speak German very good. They invided us to eat some selfmade sausages. They were really good. We had noodles with cucumber, paprika and a cheese tomate sauce. And grilled cheese and prosecco!!

We got to bed quite early, because the next step was Krakow. That would have been the longest distance. A bit more than 500 km. We started around 08:00 in the morning.

But in the end, this trip didnt felt that long. The trip to Mikolajki and from one village to another felt like for ever. Because of those real bad streets, you couldnt even call these ways like that. There we needed half an hour for 10 km. We reached our Hostel (Yellow hostel just in the centre) around six in the afternoon. Phillip was worrying so much because of the park situation in Krakow. But we were really lucky. We found a free place just in front of the hostel, where we just had to pay for two hours. We had Friday evening and from Friday night to Sunday it was free then….

We relaxed a bit and went out to see the old center. There we had a crazy expensive but delicious dinner. It started to rain, that was really nice. After that we went to a pub near by, that Phillip found in the internet. There was a concert going on, nearly no guests. We celebrated until 02:00 in the morning.

Ian Boon & the music loved what they were doing. They played songs again because some guests just arrived at the end of there concert. That was so much fun.  The next morning we had to fight a bit with headache 😉

Poland Roadtrip Part 2

On wednesday we started around 13:00 after chilling at the beach and an improvised but very tasty breakfust/ lunch äh brunch. We also met some other Germans who were travveling by car. We got some snuff (tobaco) from them. They were looking for these big popular sand dunes, but we had no idea…. What ever.

The sun was burning, our moods very good and the music quite ok.First we had to find our way through the tourist hell. We stopped at a Biedronka store for some Ice Cream and a sweet bubbling drink for phillip.

I couldnt find my glasses in our chaos in our car, we call him Waltaa.  So I bought a some new. What the fuck. For 2,50 Euros that means 100 Zloty. 1 Euro are round about 4 Zloty…

The highway S8 to Warzawa was the worst. We stood in the traffic jam all the time. It felt like forever until we finaly reached Mikolajki. Even the small streets were getting worse and worse. Actually it were 392 km from Leba to Mikolajki. But we drove 6-7 hours. It felt much more. That was the hardest trip. But in the end we had some rain and the landscape was just beautiful.

In Mikolajki we parked Waltaa somewhere were we hoped we would stand in the shadow next morning. In the middle of the city actually.

This evening was quite short. We had a big menu, soup, pierogies, salad and french fries. Pommes we would say….And bear. Of course. It was very cheap. We payed less than 10 Euros each for everything.  In Zloty round about 40. The city had a nice cute haven. And they were not that much tourists, but we heard a lot of German. This night I slept much better, but still not very good. We had moskito fightings….

The next morning we decided to go soon and find a lake. We had a break in Restaurant in the middle of nowhere, what you just reach when you drive less then 10 km/h with a car like ours. The breakfast buffet was too expensive for us… 30 Zloty per Person?? Hm… so just coffee, one pancake and charging phones please. And the toilete.

I really love water toiletts…

In Suchy Rog, after another adventuros trip over big wholes in the street, it was so fucking windy that you couldnt really relax there. Besides we where not allowed to camp next to a van in the wind shadow. Two strange guys who had watched us from the moment we came into this tiny village, came to us and told us that this is privat.

Then we found out that we even had no tent herrings at all…. so it was just not possible, because the place where we would have been allowed to camp was too windy. It was still early, around 11:00 so we decided to look for something else….

A Roadtrip to Poland

Actually I had no plans for summer holidays…. but my best friend kind of forced me to, because he had to take holidays during summer break. And what ever…. I love travelling, and I never travelled through Poland. My best friends family used to live there. He didnt see his relatives for more than 14 years and somehow he felt it was time to go back to his roots.

We started in the night from saturday to sunday after we visited a free festival from one of our favorite punk bars SONIC BALLROOM in cologne. It was a good idea to go drive through the night, because my car is not climated and the trip to my parents is always a real long distance. We arrived 7 in the morning.

After two days off at my parents place we headed up to baltic sea. Leba, an old touristic place where my grandparents already used to make holidays. Around Leba they have real big dunes, like hills, where people go climbing. We arrived in the afternoon and parked walta, the car a bit outside of the centre, next to the sea. It was perfect.

The sunset was great, but it was a bit strange to see people selling weapons at the beach prominade. Even more when you see all the kids there running around. Leba is a typical place for family holidays. But this is a also a part of polish identity,  I guess. A Roadtrip to Poland weiterlesen

A message during summerbreak

Summerbreak. Means not a break at all. For most of the people. For people of some TV shows and the parliament it means not to work on recent laws or new products.

What happened meanwhile? Didnt wrote for a long time. Sorry for my bad english….

I had to study and wrote some papers, that i still didnt finished yet. I went to demonstrations against the new law that gives our police the right to control everybody everywhere just because they look different and they even would be allowed to arrest people without any evidence for a couple of weeks. It might be the strongest police law since 1945. Before we had the nazis….

The new right and the alt right are getting louder and louder. The climate is changing, it is the hottest summer since me messure the weather but when I tell my collegues that this is a real problem they still dont believe and say: Oh and when it is getting cold again, you say the same…. FUCK OFF!!! I am getting crazy when I see how ignorante most of the people are. They dont believe in anything anymore, they dont fight anymore for peace and justice. They just care about themselve….

People who „fight“ get arrested. There was one women who supported the activists in Hambacher Forst with drumming. She was standing next to them while the police tried to break through the barricades. And now she is in jail for at least nine month. That is so crazy… Our system saves concerns, that exploite our world for there privat profit and criminalise people who wants to safe our planet and believe in a vision where everbody can live free.

FUCK THIS WORLD. FUCK THIS SYSTEM!! FUCK THE LAW.

But… at least our massive protest lead the minister in NRW to the decision not to make the police law as he want it to. Actually it shoold come before summer break. No they will discuss again about it in september. The same with the new high school law, where students the are forced to study within a certain time, and the universities have the opportunities to make research in weapons and things that might kill people and nature…. They call it more freedom for the universities…. hahaha. A message during summerbreak weiterlesen

Peace of shit

Weapons for peace, is a peace of shit.

Fighting for peace, means a peace of shit.

The only freedom is when people are free.

Including love and –  harmony.

War for the right thing, can never be right.

War for the one truth, can never be true.

War is the problem, Doesnt matter why.

War for the peace, is a reason to cry.

Selling weapons for freedom, is a peace of shit.

Weapons in schools, are a peace of shit.

Violence for liberty, is a peace of shit.

Probably necessory, but a peace of shit.

Kein vergeben, kein vergessen!
